Dry Cleaning
At Grosvenor Dry Cleaners - Kew Dry Cleaners, we use special fluids and solvents to dry clean your precious garments.
Unlike many other dry cleaners, we use high quality perchlorethylene (perc) chemicals to ensure a safer clean and better finish.
Advantages;
Natural fibres, such as wool dry clean beautifully, but when washed in water, can shrink, distort and lose colour.
Dry cleaning can dissolve greases and oils in a way that soap and water cannot
Synthetic fibres like polyester also respond well to dry cleaning, whereas they can retain oily stains after washing.
Dry cleaning helps to return garments to a "like-new" condition using precautions to prevent shrinkage, loss of colour, and change of texture or finish.
Laundry
Table cloths, bedsheets, pillow cases, doona covers etc. are professionally laundered to retain their original colours. Food, wine and other stains are treated before being pressed to a crisp fine finish.
Shirts
Our shirts are pre-treated and washed with additives, soap and water before being pressed . Shirts are pressed wet with a special shirt pressing unit using high pressure and high heat to produce the fine, crisp finish. Shirts can be done with your choice of medium or heavy starch, or no starch at all.
